Pip Talk

A free speech-practice app for children aged 3 to 7, where the child's voice moves the games. No ads, no accounts, works offline, and the voice never leaves the phone.

The product idea

Speech practice works best as a few minutes every day, but repeating sounds on cue is hard to keep fun for a young child, and most apps that listen send the recording somewhere.

The experience

Short turns follow the way speech therapists practise sounds: sound alone, syllables, words, phrases, then sentences. Each try is checked on the phone, offline, and the voice is the controller: a long sound fills a balloon, short sounds hop a frog, a steady voice flies a kite. The app is in English and Urdu.
